Our Hide Journey

We have always had respect and admiration for the individuals that work hides. It is an amazing amount of work and the respect runs deep. Forever fascinated by the processes and tools used, hide work is embedded in our DNA from our ancestors. Our people have worked hides, respected and utilized them for survival as clothing and shelter. According to our Great Auntie, her mother was the last of our Matriarchs to work on hides, and it is a huge honour and great privilege to continue this work. Our hide journey is quite a new one, which began in March 2020 and we have continuously worked skins since. Follow our Blog for updates on Copper Caribou Hides
