Vadzaih (caribou) provide people of the North with an abundance of resources. We use ch’iji (antlers), vadzaih dhòh (caribou hide), dinjik dhòh (moose hide) and ts’it ch’oh, (porcupine quills) in many of our works. We upcycle copper (threetru’) wire that we have incorporated into a variety of different designs. Beadwork and sewing are very common in the art we create, and are embedded in our way of life. These pieces hold many parts of our culture and knowledge mixed with modern designs.
